Spasticity

What is Spasticity?

Spasticity is a muscle coordination impairment that can occur after suffering an injury to your nervous system, such as a stroke or a spinal cord injury. Patients typically complain that muscles in their arms or legs become “stiff” or difficult to stretch. Spasticity affects mobility and therefore the quality of life of those living with it.
